Through a range of programs, initiatives, and services, the Vietnamese American Community of Utah (VACU) strives to fulfill our commitment to cultural preservation, community engagement, advocacy, and education.

Cultural Preservation

We organize cultural events, workshops, and exhibitions to celebrate and preserve the rich heritage, traditions, and values of Vietnamese culture.

Community Engagement

We facilitate networking opportunities and social gatherings to foster connections, solidarity, and mutual support among Vietnamese Americans.
Our outreach initiatives aim to engage and involve community members of all ages, backgrounds, and interests.

Advocacy

We advocate for the rights, interests, and well-being of Vietnamese Americans on local, regional, and national levels.

Education

We provide educational resources and mentorship programs to support Vietnamese American youth and adults in their academic and professional pursuits.

Language

Our language programs provide opportunities for community members to learn and maintain proficiency in the Vietnamese language.

Social Services

We offer social services, referrals, and assistance to community members in need, including newcomers, seniors, and families facing challenges.
We help address issues such as health care access, housing, immigration, and cultural adjustment.

Collaboration

We collaborate with other community organizations, government agencies, and local businesses to maximize our impact and address common challenges.

Partnerships

By building partnerships and alliances, we leverage resources, expertise, and collective action to achieve shared goals and objectives.

Commemoration

We organize events and activities to commemorate significant milestones, historical events, and cultural traditions, such as the Hung King’s Ceremony, Black April Commemoration and Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
