About Us
Who We Are
The Vietnamese-American Community of Utah (VACU) is a non-profit organization committed to continuing our long-standing traditions, expanding awareness of our rich culture and advancing the well-being of our community.
VACU was formed in the early 1990’s by volunteer community leaders and on March 11, 2008, it received its 501(c)(3) nonprofit charter. This organization was started with the goal of connecting second generation immigrants with their cultural heritage and to provide desperately needed services such as interpreting and translating services for new and elderly immigrants.
VACU is 100% operated through community volunteers. All of the individuals who serve this organization donate their time, energy and efforts towards the mission of preserving the Vietnamese culture and helping old and new immigrants assimilate into the United States.
